Almost every radio station has a Listener Comments page, but here at the Revolution - WE LISTEN! Your comments are read and shared by our jocks, road crew, sales staff, and administration staff. We believe in great music and good help but we count on you to make us what we are. And that's why when you make a comment to us, we hear it.

LATEST UPDATE: 5/4/07

Thanks to you all for the wonderful time we had on Sunday in Sonora (1st Annual Country Music Revolution Spring Fling, April 29 2007).  It was a blast getting to meet you all.  We are already looking forward to next year.  Thanks again for all the good music you play.

I blew out my eardrums playing in a rock band in the 60's and have been stone deaf ever since. Last week, thanks to medical science and pig's ear implants, my hearing was restored, and the only thing I listen to is Revolution Radio. You guys are awesome! Play faster, I've got a lot of quiet time to make up for.

Thank you,

Buzzy

Glenn,  You have done such a great job with the station.  Keep up the good work and you're still the best DJ in the state.

You guys are the greatest radio station in Texas for sure. Wish
I could get y'all on the radio here in Austin.

Hi!   I saw in the Winter issue of Sing Out! magazine that KRVL was chosen as one of the radio stations of the year by Roots Music Report. Congratulations!  I first heard KRVL last summer while driving through Texas (I live in Oregon but have a daughter in Woodville and an old school buddy in Amarillo).  On August 31, about 10:45 PM, I heard a familiar voice.  It was Pinto Bennett, singing "Carolina Morning". I was somewhat taken aback, because I had never heard the song except on record and tape from my collection (I had purchased both at a bar in Fairfield, Idaho, the record in 1985 and the tape in 1987).  Since the song is so old, I suppose someone could have covered it, but it sure sounded like Pinto to me.  Anyway, thanks for a delightful musical interlude on a lonely highway.  I was glad to find out I'm not the only Pinto Bennett fan in the country, too.  Take care and keep up the good work.  I'll be sure to tune in to 93.5 when I'm in Texas this summer!

My husband is working in the area your station serves.  He told me about your station and I listen to it streaming on my computer.
I wish there were other stations that played the music you play.

There is one song in particular I like but, I can never find out who the artist is, I wonder if you could help me. It starts: "Well its Friday nite, going to get tore up.  Going to the lake in the back of Freds truck", etc.  You play it alot and I would like to know who plays it so I can find the album.

Just wanted to tell you how much we appreciate your station.  We were travelling down I-10 from Phoenix to Kerrville and couldn't wait to get in your service range.  We finally picked you up before Ozona and you drove us home around 3:00 am this morning.  We just moved here and love the Revolution FM.  I just had to find you on the internet so I could play you on my computer while working.

Thanks - Jackie C

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this comment, but please get this to, share this with anyone who should read it.  I used exclusively listen to another radio station, and while I still find stuff I like in their programming, your station has definately won me over.  But it is not just the music I appreciate.  Your public service announcements are wonderful and show that you truly have an interest in important issues/causes in our community and world.  I especially like the one about children and learning (the toddler and mother talking about sand, etc.)  I am a teacher and a mother, and in a time of computers (starting way too young) toy companies advertising TV/video learning for babies and toddlers and people forgetting how much children enjoy simple things and time spent with people they love it is very refreshing to hear support for  what really is important.

Thank you again

Hello from Central Texas!

I discovered your station while at my husband's deer lease near Fredericksburg.   I loved it and tune in whenever I'm there.   Now I've found you on the web and listen to you everyday.

There's no music like TEXAS MUSIC !!!    I tell everyone about your station including my husband's hunting buddies who live in the Houston and Bay City areas.

I like your new website but was wondering where the T-shirt order page went? Will you bring the T-shirts back?    I HAVE to have one!!!!!!

ANSWER: We've got new T-shirts in the works as well as hats, stickers, coozies and more coming soon to the new REV FM Store! Keep a close eye on the website for more details!

My wife and I moved to Hunt from Houston last May.  Both of us were dyed-in-the-wool rockers.  Can’t stand C&W.

On moving day we found Rev FM and have been hooked ever since.  “Snake Farm” was heavy in the rotation at that time, and that will always be the song that reminds us of when we finally got to where we wanted to live.

There are so many wonderful things about the Hill Country.  I love the awesome motorcycle roads at my backdoor.  My wife Terry loves the quiet and the wildlife.  We both love the stars at night and relaxing with a beer in the Guadalupe River after work.

Our greatest surprise after settling in was how very friendly and “real” the people are.  We made more friends in our first month than we had in six years in our last neighborhood in Houston.

Through it all, Rev FM provides the soundtrack of our happy new life, except when we’re hangin’ ‘round a campfire listening to our new friends sing and strum their guitars and mandolins, or attending other great live music events.  Where else can you see Ray Wylie Hubbard for free in the park?

Thanks and very best regards,

Reid McTaggart

Can you guys play this song for me(Gary P. Nunn/London Homesick Blues).  I am a native Texan who is currently living in Australia attending medical school. I get a litte homesick so I would love to hear one of my favorite songs while studying.

Thanks!

I'm listening from here in England (town called Walsall which is quite near Birmingham) where country seems to be a dirty word on radio.  We only get 2 hours a week - 1 of which is Nashville chart stuff and the other is 50s/60s country.  Therefore we have to listen on the web - and your station is simply superb!

Since listening to your shows I have bought so many Texas cds mainly from lonestarmusic.com as our country cds here are vastly overpriced - as an example - Keith Urbans Golden Road was £23.49 (currently about $46!!!) in HMV.

Anyway Thanks for the info and I'll continue listening :)

My wife and I had our vacation in Big Bend National Park October 8 -
October 12.  We came back to Fredericksburg and San Antonio for a week after that.  Just west of Sonora we "accidentally" found KRVL FM.
Rather than an accident, I believe it was Divine Intervention.  We
listened to Revolution Radio for the rest of our time in the Hill Country, and since we have returned here to Knoxville, Tennessee, I have
bought albums by the Randy Rogers Band, the Kyle Bennett Band, Gary P. Nunn, the Eli Young Band, and Chris Knight just from being introduced to them by you.  I also listen to your website, and if I close my eyes, I am right back in Sisterdale.

You all are the best!  You are spokesmen for the warmth of the Hill
Country and Texas itself, and we will always regard hearing your station
as one of the blessings of "our Texas vacation."

Su amigos siempre,

I live in SC, but have been a genuine fan of TEXAS music since I started travelling to Houston and San Antonio on a regular basis in the '80's. Even though I've listened to you while driving in TEXASs it never crossed my mind to try the internet until I found your website via some links from Tommy Averson's website. I buy all the TEXAS music I can and listen to it most of the time. I like Stoney LaRue, Cross Canadian RW, Robert Earl Keen, Jerry Jeff Walker, Stevie Ray Vaughn, ZZ top and all the country singers like G. Straight and even Bob Wills and Red Steagall. You are playing 100% Texan by Kevin Fowler now and that is one of my favorites. You cannot beat pure TEXAS music. Period. End of story. I'm glad I found your site and you can bet I will become a regular listener via the internet! Rock on TEXAS! I hope you
can play Don't Touch My Willie by KF sometime for me.

Thanks!

I think the Revolution has a fantastic Texas Music mix and I always hear new songs everytime I tune in via the internet.

I have a question

Who sings "Queen of the Misfits" ? At least I believe that is the title.

Thanks for the great music

Good Morning!
I've been hearing a song on the station every so often that I absolutely love....sounds a bit like O.A.R., but with a TX Music vibe... Could you help me out and give me an artist name?

I can't remember all the lyrics, but goes something like this...

"Spent some time now, with the devil, I don't love you....anymore"

No big deal if you can't, but thought of anyone, you guys could help me out!

****Awesome job Sunday at the Cab - had a great time, and everyone has been talking about it. Keep up the great work!

ANSWER: Bart Crow and the song is Wear My Ring

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I LOVE the new format! When I moved to Junction back in August 2004, I was so disgusted with the poor selection of radio stations in this area. Having lived in San Marcos for nine years (yeah, it takes about that long to graduate when there are so many pleasant distractions!), I was spoiled on KNBT Radio New Braunfels and live music at Cheatham Street Warehouse. Now, I listen to Revolution FM every chance I get. It’s so great to hear guys that I used to watch live, like Max Stalling, Houston Marchman and Slaid Cleaves. Keep up the good work!

Glenn Taylor, you have my dream job! You’re an incredible program director and DJ, right up there with Matson Rainer! In fact, all you guys and gals are terrific!

Would ya’ll please play some Willis Alan Ramsey for me? Doesn’t he have one about Woody Guthrie? I can’t remember the song title off the top of my head, but I think its Willis that sings it. My son’s name is Guthrie and I’d like for my husband to hear the song.

Thanks for making my day, several times a day.

Hey there Natalie !!! We just spoke on the phone. I was heading home to Mountain Home in the rain. I was listening, and wanted you to play some Keith Gattis ( who I love). I am so glad that you will have him and some other greats at your listener appreciation party at Carberet!! I have been looking forward to the event ever since you guys mentioned it!! It's on my calender and that is all that I can think about in my music future! What is more weird is that it just happens to fall on my birthdate of July 30!! ( Don't tell anyone one that I will be a classic 47 and know what good music is all about. You guys win hands down!!!) Though birthdays are not something I celebrate; your format , and all the the soul satisfying MUSIC is worth celebrating! I sure would like to be included in what will prove to be the most captivating event of the year! I just HAVE to be there!!! Please, Please see it in you heart to include me. I am a LONG time listener and KNOW what you are doing is RIGHT. Can't start the day without you ; can't finish it either!! ; and work would be just work with out KRVL....YOU save my muscians soul. Thank you so much for actually listening to the listeners...What A Revolution!!!!!

The transition to the new formats on the Sonora station has been a good move. I have an 18 year old sone who has Sirius radio but has now begun listening to your broadcasts. The vast improvement for me has been the move away from the syndicated dj's and other dependence on listeners calling in. The "Mouth off sound off" and in a previous programming "Love and Desperation" have been reasons for me to change stations. I have not had the opportunity to hear as much of the Classic pgramgramming as I have the Kerrville programming but the Kerrville djs do a far superiour job than the djs in the past.

Hello..........I'm from Ozona and I'm so happy to not have to hear "We play the music that everyone forgot about". Well, surprise surprise.......there is a reason why it was "forgotten"........because it pretty much sucked! We do not have any other means to music here except for xm/Sirius radio and we are their best advertisement for sales, which I bet sky rocketed, especially in Ozona and Sonora. However, now I can honestly say that I don't mind at all turning off my Sirius radio because the music you play now is awesome. If I had to endure "Big Bad John" one more time I was going to screeeeam!! So thanks so much for finally playing music worth listening too (Hey, that should be the new logo now, "music worth listening too"). So please, what ever you do don't go back to the old format or you will forever lose at least one customer, but I bet it would be many many more than just me.

Glenn,
I stumbled upon your program during a recent trip to Texas. I had been disappointed by the lack of decent country music, even in Texas, until I found you. Thanks for making my trip more enjoyable. Any plans to put KRVL on-line so I can listen anywhere via my computer? That would be great.

Thanks, BL California

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Glenn, You are the best DJ in Texas! Love your 5 at 5 and knowlegde of Texas music. So glad that your station has gotten rid of the negativism in the AM. It's nice to hear great music and enjoy the day.
